365 Days of karolina
On the 25th of April 2019 I turned 44. I wanted to explore who I am at this stage of my life, and so for one year, I will created a self-portrait every day and posted it on Instagram.
It turned out to be an emotional journey of self-reflection and self-discovery through art..
The portraits I created aren’t always ‘pretty’, but that’s ok, the idea wasn’t to show a realistic representation of myself that would be pleasing for others, but to be real. We mostly think of self-portrait as a picture of a face, but obviously, there is so much more to who we are, outside and inside.
And this is what I tried to explore through this project.
