Summer, sun and lots of art ... and flowers!

I’m happy to be taking part in the art event Kulturmeile, which will take place in the beautiful village of Gufidaun, from 10:00 to 19:00 on the 18th of July 2021.

Together with 27 other local artists, we will fill the village with art!

This is a wonderful occasion to meet and interact with artists, enjoy the scenery, nature and summer weather, drink, eat and be merry!

Looking forward to seeing you there and to showing you all my fun, coloiurful and floral paintings and sculptures, which I am preparing for this special day.

The event is free and open to all.

My "365 Days" now as online book

About a year ago, I finished my year-long project “365 Days of Karolina”, and now its available as an online book to flick through.

For an entire year, I created a self-portrait every day and wrote a short text to go with it. With the help of my art and the accompanying words, I embarked on a journey of self-discovery, I was able to peel off the layers and look at all sides of myself, face my emotions, my fears, my dreams. And this is the result.

Through „365 Days of Karolina” I hope to inspire you to use art and go on your own personal journey. Especially now, in these hard times we are going through, art can help us heal. It doesn’t have to be for a whole year, but why not try and make your own journal, use pictures and words, to express yourself, come to terms with the reality around us, or just play and see what happens. Yes, it is scary at first, but I promise you, once you take the first step, you’ll see it’s not so bad. And the good thing is, there’s nobody there to judge you and tell you that what you’re creating is not good enough. You’re in the safety of your home and you have all the time you need.

Enjoy and let the magic happen.

“People in pencil” is a new section on my website under DECORATIVE ART, where I will be showing my recent drawings.

I am very excited and happy to share this work with you, as it combines two of my loves-people and drawing!

Two women, music, painting and a book.

I am very happy to have been invited by the composer Manuela Kerer, to paint the artwork for her new book “Kerer’s Saiten.“

Manuela, a female composer from Brixen (South Tyrol), not only creates music, but also writes. For the past ten years, she has been writing a weekly column for the local Dolomiten newspaper. She will be rounding off these ten years with a book of 111 of her favourite articles. And I have contributed 11 paintings, to accompany the texts.

This is a book for everyone, not only for art and music lovers. The texts Manuela has written give us insight into how a musician sees the world, on details they notice and things that are important to them. This is a book for people who are curious of the world, people who like to read, who appreciate beauty, who want to laugh, cry and be surprised.

The 11 pictures I painted are my artistic interpretation of the stories told in the texts. I used ink, paint, charcoal and pencil to create a series of black and white artwork. I hope to be able to show you all the original paintings next year, when circumstances allow.

„Kerers Saiten“ will be available from mid December at bookshops in South Tyrol or directly with Manuela or myself.
