In this group exhibition exploring the topic of ‚folk‘, I will be showing some of my plate art and my floral paintings.
Plates are very much part of our culture, history and folklore. In my kintsugi inspired plate art, I combine pieces of different plates to create something new. Through the is work, I am asking: Where does one culture end and other start? What happens if we come together instead of working on our own?
The flower paintings I will be showing are colorful and fun. They focus on the character, shapes and mood of different plants around us.
